And coming from "A Waco Friend," an admonition never to live in Tyler is saying something. McLennan County's not much better these days.

-Im from Waco.Harumhmmpfff. 7 years for a Snickers bar,and you got the nerve to call yourself tough on crime. Here in Waco our jury sentenced a black fella to LIFE(habitual criminal) for stealing ribs from the H.E.B. ahhh Jerusalem on the Brazos.Where the men are men,and the livestock is nervous...:)

DPS perpetuates the gang member theory and the locals suck it up like it was gospel. Truth is the DPS emphasis is on terrorism. They could care less about gang problems as they aren't front page news as much as terrorists. You'll start hearing that label about the terrorism emphasis soon enough as their status is changing from gang members to terrorist organizations. Then they can be arrested at will with no PC and never see a judge. Won't that just quell their rebel souls. It's all a play on words regardless of the conduct. At least the old DPS had some integrity to disregard BS federal legislation that didn't suit Texas. This new regime is a recruiting garden for the Feds.
