"That office is cost-effective. And it can be the greatest thing since sliced bread."

Now that he's made his point that he's the de facto head of the Public Defenders Office, he must have decided to abandon his previous rhetoric.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8597101.post-13819171609243510352008-07-12T07:20:00.000-05:002008-07-12T07:20:00.000-05:00Here's Wiley Price quote from the Houston Chronica...Here's Wiley Price quote from the Houston Chronical. As long as you are able to manage your caseload with integrity and minus neglect, that is.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8597101.post-86977183207093185522008-07-04T12:14:00.000-05:002008-07-04T12:14:00.000-05:00The feeling around the office is that the purge ma...The feeling around the office is that the purge may have abated, for now. However, the new regime is one who feels the need to rule through fear and intimidation. Those who survived the Drescher years know how destructive this type of management style is. For those who were not there, hold on to your seats fellas, it's going to be a bumpy ride.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8597101.post-8998521050993570402008-07-04T07:48:00.000-05:002008-07-04T07:48:00.000-05:00Here's an irony- I hear that right after Brad "lef...Here's an irony- I hear that right after Brad "left", Lynn had a meeting with her supervisors and that one of the topics was the importance of following the hierarchy of disciplinary action...you know, counseling the employee, written warning, etc...wonder how many of those that have been terminated have formal disciplinary actions in their files. Or were they all on "double secret probation?"Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8597101.post-79171149629506242552008-07-03T19:06:00.000-05:002008-07-03T19:06:00.000-05:00Last count was one director, 1 felony supervisor, ...Last count was one director, 1 felony supervisor, the juvenile division supervisor, 1 staff attorney and 1 investigator. I'm pretty good friends with several people in the office and none of us could figure what this person was talking about.

Actually, most of it can be traced back to the fact that Brad did not appoint to positions of power people JWP wanted him to. I'm positive there is more to it than that, but I find it coincidental.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8597101.post-14794761746939073812008-07-02T08:18:00.000-05:002008-07-02T08:18:00.000-05:00Who else besides Lollar has gotten the ax? Perhaps the Da's office and Denton County PD's office should watch their backs now that these two have moved on. And, logic follows that if Price had PD personnel files, then Lynn Richardson has to be the one who gave them to him. Who else had access to them?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8597101.post-67281437913722331142008-07-01T15:42:00.000-05:002008-07-01T15:42:00.000-05:00Scott- There are 2 separate issues here with respe...Scott- There are 2 separate issues here with respect to records. One is the vetting of personnel files by JWP. The other issue involving the DMN public information request, as I understand it, has to do with weekly disposition reports assistant PDs have to prepare for submission by the administration of the office to Commissioner Price.

I think the casualty count is now up to 5 counting Mr. Lollar.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
