TDCJ has hundreds geriatric patiets who can barely wipe their own butts, let along committ future crimes. Add to them the technical parole violators who did not commit new crimes, and first-time no-violent offenders who are parole eligible, and you're taliking about thousands of inmates who pose no serious threat to society.concareservices.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8597101.post-29264422028537094642012-01-24T09:31:35.459-06:002012-01-24T09:31:35.459-06:00Yes, 5:56, I know that problem well. No money to renew his inspection and registration stickers and still have gas to look for work. Result? About $700 fine for each, PLUS that stupid surcharge. Altogether, those stickers cost him almost $3000!!!! What a great way to get the poor and unemployed to comply with getting those stickers- hit them with ludicrous fees! After 19 mos, he did find work and paid these off. You just know every poor guy out there is going to take a 2nd job just to pay off those tickets. NOT! What was the Leg thinking when it passed that assault on the poor and unemployed??Phillip Bakernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8597101.post-84602462592456145952012-01-23T17:56:53.151-06:002012-01-23T17:56:53.151-06:00Saw a guy booked in tody on city of Tyler traffic ...Saw a guy booked in tody on city of Tyler traffic warrants for expired mvi and expired mvr.

expired motor vehicle inpsection $800 + bond
expired motor vehicle registration$700 + bond

Heck, it only costs $12.50 for an inspection sticker.

Is it just me but anyone else see a problem with this.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8597101.post-18919943799175437792012-01-23T12:55:06.354-06:002012-01-23T12:55:06.354-06:00getting the cops to issue more citations, instead ...getting the cops to issue more citations, instead of jail, works too. it takes a different kind of politician (sheriff, judge) to do this - maybe ron paul is indeed having an impact. its always easier to hide behind the slogan - i'm tough on crime - but it sure costs tons of money. don't expect this to happen where their are gov't unions - these folks are dedicated to plundering the taxpayer into oblivion. i predict however, that the outstanding warrant list will skyrocket as many people will skip their court dates.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8597101.post-24781057059202148072012-01-23T12:02:08.283-06:002012-01-23T12:02:08.283-06:00Gaelyn, I'm at shenson[at]austin.rr.com.Gaelyn, I'm at shenson[at]austin.rr.com.Gritsforbreakfasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10152152869466958902noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8597101.post-53703665351085504142012-01-23T10:42:04.800-06:002012-01-23T10:42:04.800-06:00But...but...but...that can't be...we always he...But...but...but...that can't be...we always hear from those tough on crime folks that if we don't keep all these people locked up we'll all be victims of rampant serious crime waves.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8597101.post-57812469925457794962012-01-23T09:31:52.688-06:002012-01-23T09:31:52.688-06:00Hey there!
