Grant said that was a coincidence of timing as his group had some openings and was looking to expand his network into Aransas and San Patricio counties.

As for future expansion, Grant leaves the option open.

"I would like it to grow," he said. "In my opinion, the more participation the better."

As the violence increases on the Mexican border and Texas drug task forces lost the Byrne Grant, along comes Bill Grant. It could be a cousin of Byrne but the DEA Task Force in Corpus Christi just happened to have room for the counties that lost the Bryne Grant funding. Amazing coincidence and the article reports that there are now 10 task force Agents but it doesn't say exactly how many DEA Agents. Wonder who is supervising ten people on a day to day basis. Hmmmmmmmmmmm, especially when there are three from the same department?

The other side of the border is awash in corruption and violence over drug money. This side meanwhile is combining it's resources and seizing large sums of drug money. It's not about money on this side though because there is no corruption and violence when the resources are combined.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
