It was VERY EFFECTIVE in holding accountable active gang members (probationers). Our violation rates were 40% higher than regular probation caseloads because we were in the neighborhoods 5-6 nights per week & weekends with probation contacts 5 times per week the first month and 3-5 per week thereafter for 6 months. Even though we had the higher percentages of violations our REVOCATION rate was lower because with caseloads limited to 15-25 we were able to work on the dynamics that influenced the probationers. Unfortunately CJAD (Adult Probation) didn't want to continue funding the program.<BR/>When it works, they won't use it!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
