White, for allowing them to sign onto a contract that had such restrictive cancellation terms and did not have a Force Majeure clause. (and having the voters outlaw them certainly falls under Force Majeure). Parker for not notifying ATS that the contract was subject to cancellation as soon as it went on the ballot, if not sooner. That would have been 70 days notice at a minimum. If they had notified ATS when the petition drive started back in April, then they would have had LOTS of time to notify ATS before the election.Rorschachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11848860674369931761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8597101.post-57283029195730319822010-11-07T15:44:01.202-06:002010-11-07T15:44:01.202-06:00"The May 2009 contract has a termination clau..."The May 2009 contract has a termination clause that requires the city to provide the company with a 120-day notice of cancellation, a period when the cameras will still be in full operation and civil fines issued, according to the city attorney."<br />So? It seems that the termination fee required by the company has nothing to do with whether or not the cameras are in operation.Angeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00323251252533007308noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8597101.post-89576000940139178292010-11-07T08:14:36.963-06:002010-11-07T08:14:36.963-06:00Your quote states:

This is a shining example of more "public safety" crap that we have been fed (like seat belts) that is actually a money grab from government. She will do what is right and turn the damn things off but right now they are looking for some more money.<br /><br />It's also important to note that the cameras came in under Bill White.Hook Em Hornshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04660612847019528535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8597101.post-18340416008344377532010-11-06T09:03:17.618-05:002010-11-06T09:03:17.618-05:00Kinda makes me think that the COH is trying their ...Kinda makes me think that the COH is trying their best to ignore the voter's mandate.
