The Immigration Paradox

Here are a few recent immigration-related links you may want to check out:
  • Finally, everyone should read Manhattan Institute fellow Tamar Jacoby's stat-filled article from Foreign Affairs. Like Benders' Dan Kowalski, Jacoby identifies the main "paradox" that must be confronted to actually solve immigration:
"The best way to regain control is not to crack down but to liberalize - to expand quotas, with a guest-worker program or some other method, until they line up with labor needs. The analogy is Prohibition: an unrealistic ban on alcohol was all but impossible to enforce. Realistic limits, in contrast, are relatively easy to implement."

  1. The number of entries and apprehensions were not at all decreased, and the number of deaths due to dehydration and sunstroke in the summer or freezing in the winter dramatically surged.

Perhaps you might not object so fiercely, or even care about law breakers, despite the above oxy-moron, if you watch here and here.

  2. Seems one of these videos were deemed to politically incorrect for YouTube and the other video was moved one more try at the one still there. Nation of Aztlan

  3. I saw it, and ... so? Nothing to fear there. I've seen a lot crazier images featuring white anti-immigrant protesters' comments. What bothers you about what you saw in that video?

Please link to a white college professor, speaking to a huge crowd about the overthrow of the US government.

  5. The deafening sound of silence.

  6. Go to any large anti-war rally at a university and you'll hear that. Welcome to free speech. Go to pro-life rallies and you'll hear government leaders called murderers and revolutionary rhetoric bandied about. Again, so what?

Thomas Jefferson thought we should have a revolution every twenty years. I guess he was un-American.

  7. No doubt as to the large number of pro socialist, anti American, anti-war (but pro murder of children) college professors. Yet the question remains, link to a white professor standing in front of a largely foreign group of law breakers advocating the overthrow of the government.

More later on Jeferson as he said many things of great wisdom as related to Revolution.

  8. I don't have time to comb YouTube trying to educate you, Celtic. If you've never heard anyone make such statements in public, you need to leave your computer and get out more.

I find it particularly interesting how you latch onto my liberal example and don't seem to mind pro-lifers with similarly radical views.

Jefferson's un-Americanism, I guess, must remain an open question.

I'm pro life and they and I support the constitution. Which in no way gauranttes the right of a woman to kill her child.

I'll get back to Jefferson. Definetly not un American regardless of the revisionist history our schools waste so much money on.

  10. I know you're pro-life, Celtic, which is why you excuse identical behaviors from pro-lifers that you adamantly condemn in immigrants or anti-war protesters.

On the other hand, what's a little double standard among friends?

  11. Section 3
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against
them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person
shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the
same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Congress shall have power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no
Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except
during the Life of the Person attainted.

The above of course is from the constitution. Regardless of what side of abortion or war you might be on those opinions are exercised peacefully or with in our rights.

You continue to evade the point I made. The "Nation of Aztlan video" is clearly treason, I'm sure more than two people saw it, and this so called college professor should be tried accordingly. There is no double standard.

  12. Celtic: I have no idea what you're talking about. If a pro-lifer said the same thing on your issue you'd call them a patriot.

  13. I'm talking about the Azlan group demanding succession from the Union and an overthrow of the government. I would not support that from a pro-lifer nor do I know of one ever demanding that. Pro-lifers work for a return of proper constitution interpretation. An overturn of the Judicial legislation that created this false right to an Abortion.
