After Texas Youth Commission conservator Richard Nedelkoff deflected questions over the fate of acting executive director Dimitria Pope on Wednesday (I had to leave before this point in the hearing), Pope herself told the House Appropriations Criminal Justice Subcommittee that she was not under consideration for the permanent position.
Seeing that news, I'm now certain the wind in my face when I stepped out of the hotel in San Antonio yesterday morning surely resulted from a collective sigh of relief by several thousand TYC employees and their families around the state.
It appears, though, that Ms. Pope will not go gently into that good night, telling the committee according to the Dallas News, "I am the stabilizing factor of the TYC," she said. "I intend to be until I'm pushed out the door."
It requires tremendous hubris to say such a thing sitting next to your boss at a legislative hearing after he's just (rightly) refused to air your dirty laundry. Clearly the conservator has already shown her the door, but Ms. Pope is publicly vowing to make him "push" her through it. It almost sounds like a dare.
In related news, Nedelkoff resigned his position at Eckerd Youth Services to focus on the TYC conservatorship full time and avoid any "appearance of impropriety." Good for him. It's too big a job to do part time, anyway, and Nedelkoff was going to keep taking shots for holding down both jobs.
You can tell he's elbow deep into things when he referred to the reform process as a "fray" in which he personally has "everything to lose." Clearly he intends to become "the stabilizing factor" at TYC.
Grits, this Texas, so don’t count the chickens before they hatch! You don't know who all Pope has a file on that could end a political career. Pope has information on a group of highly placed people that would be very embarrassing if it came to light. There is a massive investigation into the new conservator's past in an effort to discredit him. Hope he passes the background investigation or he will be the latest headline regarding TYC. Also he needs to look out for false accusations being leveled against him as a means to discredit him. I would not put my family at risk like he has for this job.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Mr. Nedlekoff! A sigh of relief came from the parents of TYC youth as well! Mrs. Pope staying on is doing nothing but hindering the progress and good intentions of other employees of TYC. She has done nothing to improve the lives of our children but leave them in a complete state of confusion. It is no wonder there are youth taking over in some of the facilities. And when she dares to pick on Will Harrell, she is treading on thin ice. Please Mr. Nedlekoff, give her the push she has dared you to. Give her the carpets if that is what it takes to get rid of her!
ReplyDeleteA Hopeful Parent
Anonymous at 9:08 said it correctly - it's a given that Da Pope (or Whitmire) more than likely has a file of dirt on many, many people. And it's a shame that they would even consider using their money and energy to investigate Nedlekoff to discredit him in order to make Ms. Pope look more the TYC savior. Nedlekoff has his priorities dead on... it's about improving TYC, not decorating it!
ReplyDeleteHubris is a strong word, but somehow it does not seem quite strong enough to describe Ms Pope. Malignant Narcicism might be a better term. Every time she says, "It's all about the kids," I want to throw up, because I know that what she really means is that it is all about her.
ReplyDeleteKudoes for Mr. Nedelkoff. He is certainly a breath of fresh air!
ReplyDeleteIt amazes me that our Legislators question Mr. Nedlekoff about his connections and who he is bringing in. Especially in light of the fact that they have not botherd to question Ms. Pope about her connections and who she brought in. How many people from TDCJ were appointed to high paying positions? How many of those people were from the RED group at TDCJ that no longer exist? How many contracts have not gone through a public posting process? As much as I support Mr. Nedlekoff in his efforts to assist TYC he may be too late. It appears that the only thing that might help TYC is to have the Department of Justice or some other entity take over or least begin to monitor the situation. At least they would not have ties to our wonderful Legislators! It is beyond my imagination why our State Auditors have not come in audited the books of TYC, why our Legislators have not visited and talked with staff and youth to get the real picture, why advocacy groups appear to have backed off, etc. etc. etc. It does not take a genius to see that TYC is worse then it has ever been and the changes that have been made have only served to provide people with some big salaries! TYC staff, parents, advocacy groups, etc. need to get behind Mr. Nedlekoff and show their support. Especially since Ms. Pope is once again holding meetings to tell everyone all the wonderful things she has done and that they need to support her. You have got to be kidding!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly appeared to me that not only was she daring the conservator but also pleading with the members of the committe to save her job. What I don't understand and I'm not political mumbo-jumbo savy, is why the committee can't see that the agency is far worse off than it was 1 year ago. Or just maybe they refuse to admit it. Whatever the reason may be the rest of us are not, by any stretch of the imagination, BLIND or foolish.
ReplyDeleteMs. Pope you fail to undertand you alieniated staff almost immediately and it was downhill from then. We have watched you not tell the truth countless times before the lege and in the MSM, how can you expect respect? You're good at your game. But like all games someone has to lose and you've lost. Anyone else would have been legally charged, fined or imprisoned for your actions. Ms. Pope, from where I sit, you are a person who finds very difficult to admit mistakes much less learn from them. Take your cue and bow out gracefully, the fat lady is signing.
Take a long hard look at what you have accomplished, the only thing I see is a remodeling of an office, new carpet and new furniture and creation of fear among employees because we never sure when you would wave the magic wand and axe one of us for trivial matters and/or move us clear across the state because you could. You replaced many qualified central office employees with people who have no experience in TYC policy or its working and quite frankly, we don't trust them.
By the way, there are many employees in the field with allergies and no one has purchased new carpet for them. They've had to live with mold and odors in their offices. No one has come to their rescue with any lapse money or fiscal year end money to remodel them. If you had been in the field like you promised, you would have seen it first hand, but you chose to visit only certain facilities.
I would like to know what facilities received the year end money you spoke of at the hearing? There are many questions in our minds that need answers because what you told the committe is not what we saw in the field.
Stablizing factor, no way, the stablilizing factor in TYC is its employees. They are the backbone of the agency and we're as good as our leader!! Sad to say but true. If wasn't for us fight to end employees, the agency would be worse off, if that's possible. But you refused even acknowledge us much less value us.
Good luck in your future endeavors, we wish you no ill will and certainly hope that if you have any employees under you, you'll treat them with the dignity and respect they deserve from the onset.
Best wishes, a tenured long term employee and proud of it.
I'd like to know who investigated Pope's background when she was appointed?? What's in her background, I wonder?? What goes around comes around.
ReplyDeleteMr. Nedelkoff, you have my support and that of my co-workers.
I am a self removed TYC employee. (Early Kimbrough era) I personally have never met D. Pope but after her stunt in front of the House Committee and the Conservator of TYC, I can see why TYC and its employees are in such a mess. This woman thinks that the sun can not rise until she gives it permission. I personally hope that Mr. N. shows her to the door because an employee like that is a disruption to other employees. In order to work with her employees would need to wear body armor to keep from getting stabbed in the back! Mr. N. needs to be able to trust his E.D. and stay focused on TYC issues, not Ms. Pope issues!! Ms. Pope needs to realize that in order to be a good leader or “stabilizing force”; you must have the respect of your employees and to be able to lead by example. There are very few people that were impressed by the example she displayed at the hearing. It resembled an outburst of a small child that didn’t get her way so she went to “tell”. Was this truly an act of a “stabilizing force” in TYC? If so, TYC does not need that type of stabilization. It showed total disrespect for her boss and the House Committee. If Mr. N. chooses to keep Ms. Pope around my prayers go out to all TYC employees, their families and the kids of TYC that will be subject to her “stabilization”.
ReplyDeleteV. Collier
No more pussy-footing or nicey-nicey, show Pope the door and let it hit her on the way out.
ReplyDeleteIf Pope has files on politicos, some must have files on her too!!
ReplyDeleteMr. Collier, you are right on. My only comment to yours; I don't who was worse, Pope for telling or the Committee for listening to the unequivocable bullcrap she presented. I think they should all take their toys and go home, they don't play well with TYC!!
ReplyDeleteHow do you know she has files, or that Nedelkoff's past is being looked into?
ReplyDeletePics or it didn't happen.
Welcome to the Texas political world Mr. Nedelkoff. Isn't it a shame?
ReplyDeleteYou will be contacted to give a personal briefing to certain politicians; that is where you will understand what they want from you. BTW, they don't care to hear what you NEED from them.
You will need to develop a "fix" for the many problems you have inherited without the benefit of additional staffing/funds and without the support of the legislators (with few exceptions).
You also need to become aware of certain legislators "sacred cows".
You have a very difficult assignment; I hope you receive some support from the politicians because without additional funds to support your programs, you have an immpossible one. Good Luck and God Bless!
Retired 2004
Ms. Pope needs to be completely removed from the agency. Since she has many of her friends still working there, she would be a deterrent to reforms. It was obvious she was begging the legislators to save her job with the performance she put on Wednesday. She was daring Mr. N to fire her. Anyone with any class at all would have stepped down quietly. If the story is true about her telling the employees that she was not going anywhere, then she MUST have pictures. If she is not removed from the agency, I don't see anyway it can survive.
ReplyDeletePraise for Mr. Nedlekoff,
ReplyDeleteThe deterioration of agency moral and child care under the leadership of Mrs. Pope with the support of her close intimate friend Sen. Whitmire has been and continues to be a state and national disgrace. As a volunteer of TYC for many years I can say with absolute surety the destruction of the inter structure of the agency, mistreatment of staff and disregard for the well being of the youth has never been more blatant. The complete lack of moral values and ethics under the leadership of Mrs. Pope and the rest of her ilk have done nothing to give the children under their care any promise of hope for the future. The current feelings among the children incarcerated in TYC facilities today is they will do their time get out and return to the same environment they came form. The program (non-program) established by Mrs. Pope does nothing to prepare these children for a life after TYC. NOTHING!
The opportunity given to Mrs. Pope to overhaul TYC and have a positive influence for generations to come on the youth of Texas has been squandered on building a power base to support her and her self centered goals and purposes. Trying to turning TYC into a mini TDCJ with her as the head has been her number one goal. The fact that she is dealing with children and not adults has never hindered her for making decisions that are damaging to impressionable children under her care as long at it promoted her personal goals.
The fact that Mrs. Pope and Sen. Whitmire have ‘secret files” on people they intend to use to persuade them to help discredit Mr. Nedlekoff and try to have him removed speaks volumes on why they should both be fired and ran out of office. We don’t what or need these types of people in leadership having influence over the lives of our youth.
Nedlekoff has already made remarkable progress just in the good will he has generated to replace the previous mood among the employees at the TYC. Reading these comments is refreshing, though I agree with the commenter who warns correctly that Mr. Nedlekoff has not yet seen the totality of the dysfunction and corruption in Texas politics. I hope he stays the course. What I can't get over is: How did Goodhair finally stumble into committing a rational act? (appointing Nedlekoff)
ReplyDeleteHe called BUSH and asked him what to do.........
ReplyDeleteThe Chronicle story is not very flattering to Nedelkoff. Makes it sound like he's part of the continuing corruption.
ReplyDelete@9:46
ReplyDelete"How many of those people were from the RED group at TDCJ that no longer exist?"
Three. Not counting Dimitria, three people who worked in the RED Group when it was dissolved now work at TYC.
If she won't leave until she's pushed out, we all need to keep pushing! The first poster is right. She's not gone till she's gone. So let's get her gone. Email the conservator, Sen. Whitmire, Rep. Turner, the Governor, and everybody else you can think of. Tell themher open defiance of the new conservator, who God knows is our only hope, in front of the Lege is killing agency morale. She must go! She's harming us every day she stays, maybe literally every extra hour she does more damage.
ReplyDeleteKeep pushing!!!
2/8 @ 9:08 is dropping inside knowledge. I'm just praying to God that Nedelkoff doesn't have anything too bad in his past that will discredit him.
ReplyDeleteFor those who think that Pope is some master manipulator with a bag of blackmail, I think you give her a lot more credit for competence than she has ever shown as ED. She ain't that smart.
ReplyDeleteTo 5:39, just for the record, I was a professional opposition researcher for 13 years, working for 68 candidate campaigns and quite a few more issue campaigns. I've got several four-drawer filing cabinets full of info on a variety of pols, myself, FWIW.
ReplyDeleteThere's a Mutually Assured Destruction factor to all this that in the end keeps things from getting TOO bad, but nobody talks about it, much. :)
Personally, I'm in agreement with 6:30 that from my observation, you may be giving her quite a bit too much credit. You don't sound that desperate when you have an ace in the hole.
EWWWWWWWWWWW SECRET FILES lol She doesnt have any files on anyone.. People like the Pope are not smart eneough to keep paper on anyone....
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean by having a few aces in the hole Grits. I had a few of my own until Pope whacked all those who I had aces on. Now I have no more aces because Pope is so scrutinized, she can't hide anything.
ReplyDeleteNo one likes her and every time she makes a stupid decision, it's all over the place because everyone up there sells her out. That's why we are all barracudas, snakes and sharks: a title many of us wear proudly.
If any legislator wants the inside of what's going on with this woman, all they have to do is come to your blog because everyone despises her and all of her whacked out decisions are always posted here and they're true. She gets away with nothing. Her own people have started turning on her, and now they are barracudas, snakes and sharks. They think it's better to join us than fall later backing her. But we don't think like them... so well, ya' know.... umm humm.
The write the Conservator movement is in full swing. Time to join up folks "If you want 'Real' Change."
If she's got an ace in the hole, does that make Whitmire the ace?
ReplyDelete(try the veal)
Support the Conservator in the real reform of TYC. Write the Gov., Lt. Gov, Chairman Madden. Let them know your thoughts. I did -- and I signed my name to those letters.
ReplyDelete12:52 p.m. The Chronicle is in Whitmire's district, what did you expect??
ReplyDeleteDimitria Pope is not the problem.
ReplyDeleteAll leadership at TYC is bad.
At the facility where I work, any JCO could do the superintendent's job better than the superintendent. The school principle is a constant source of stupidity.
The staff has to make it look like all of the stupid ideas are being carried out and still find ways to get things done.
Most administrators take medication for mental illness.
It doesn't matter whether the director is Dimitria Pope or Mickey Mouse.
Where do you work?????????
ReplyDeleteSounds like they work at TYC. Take your pick. ha-ha
ReplyDeletePopes FUBAR. She left at lunch today - sick.
ReplyDeleteWatch - I bet she went on FMLA to drain her sick time... all that shit transferred from TDCJ.
It all reminds me of when "we" closed in on Hitler.
does not matter why she left, what matters is she LEFT and stays left!
ReplyDeleteThat "AT WILL" was a good idea now wasn't it.
Nedelkoff needs to lock the door so she won't come back in on Monday!
ReplyDeleteShe left at lunch sick??? Will Harrell and the lady from Harris County were at CO office yesterday meeting with the Conservator around lunchtime.
ReplyDeletePope probably got the hell out of there before she was asked to join them and explain herself. The lady from Harris County needs to keep asking questions. She and Will are fighting for the kids not their egos. They know Pope is only covering her ass.
Mr. Conservator ask those two what the kids and staff are reporting.
What? She left sick? Guess her $15,000 new carpet didn't help. Maybe she can take her $500 Tiffany paperweight, boil it in water and eat that for get well soup. What was her excuse for buying that (especially since there's no fans blowing anything around that needs to be held down)?
ReplyDeleteWhatever Pope has on any person in power should not be relevant. What ever happened to the notion of "youth first"?
ReplyDeleteIf the Conservator, legislature, and Governor abide by the principle of holding to the best standards for youth--and staff, the TYC will be saved. I simply don't see Pope in that picture. She had her chance and failed.
This should not be about her even though anyone who works at TYC except for Neal has justified anger. It needs to be about the youth committed to TYC.
If we can focus on that, we can move forward.
Yes, we need to focus on the kids but let us have breath of fresh air for a change. Its long over due and its like winning a war. Happy Staff, make happy kids.
ReplyDelete4:30 You are completely right that happy staff makes for happy kids.
ReplyDeleteOnce the staff are treated with respect and appreciation everyone can begin to work together as a team. When there is an air of unity the kids will notice and we might get closer to creating safer environments for everyone.
10:07 I agree that the Conservator should visit with Mr. Harrell and the Harris County monitor. When they show up they spend hours talking with the kids and staff and are trying to help. I can't remember the last time the Pope showed up and spent more than 15 minutes with all of her adopted children.
PUSH POPE OUT THE DOOR AND PLACE THE FOCUS BACK ON THE YOUTH AND STAFF IN ORDER FOR THE AGENCY TO SURVIVE ANY FURTHER DAMAGE THE LEGE OR MR. N MUST REMOVE POPE I AM A TENURE STAFF AND IT USED TO BE THE BEST JOB TO HAVE U CAN'T MIX STATE SCHOOL AND ORIENTATION YOUTH YOU CAN'T TREAT JUVENILES THA SAME AS ADULT THESE YOUTH BELIEVE IT OR NOT ARE OUR FUTURE LET'S RE-OPEN MARLIN FOR ORIENTATION BRING BACK PARSEE REFORM MART AS A STATE SCHOOL REMOVE THOSE PEOPLE AT THE TOP AND ALL THE FLUNKIES AND ALLOW SIMMONS TO RUN THAT UNIT AND I BET STAFF AND YOUTH MORALS WILL INCREASE RIGHT AWAY I BET THE STAFF THAT HA QUIT WILL RETURN POPE HAVE U EVER HEARD IF IT'S NOT BROKE DON'T FIX IT BUT I GUESS YOU WOULDN'T KNOW IF ANYTHING WAS BROKE BECAUSE YOU BEEN TOO BUSY TRYING TO FIX IT THE WAY YOU WANT IT I WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU DID BRAKE A MAJOR ASSET TO RUNNING TYC AND THAT IS JCO'S MS YOU AND YOUR PEOPLE HAVE CAUSED SOME MAJOR PROBLEMS YOU HAVEN' T FIXED ANYTHING JUST LEAVE AND KEEP THE LITTLE DIGNITY YOU MAY STILL HAVE WITHIN YOURSEL
ReplyDeleteMs. Pope deserves to reap what she sowed. Her followers, the appointed, the promoted and the slack offs deserve the same. There has been nothing positive since she became the Acting ED. I truly believe the lege and the guv finally see these but have not admitted it yet.
ReplyDeleteMr. N is a threat to her, as he is actually juvenile corrections oriented and experienced. Simple communication, honesty and respect for his staff and field staff have gained him the support of many TYC employees. He smart and will be able to weed out all the seeds Ms. Pope has promoted for the wrong reasons. You all just hang on and things will improve. Mistakes will be made but certainly not on the level of Pope's. I can stand tall with him as our conservator and TYC will be respected again some day. Those youth that want to benefit will and yes, we won't be able to rehabilitate all of them but we will be given the chance to try. Policies and procedures will not be changes every 15 minutes. Give him your support!!
...to 4:50 a.m. above...
ReplyDeleteGOOD LORD MAN WHAT ARE YOU DOING SURFING THE INTERNETS AT SUCH AN UNHOLY HOUR IF YOU WERE USING THE COMPUTER AT A MORE REASONABLE HOUR YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF SUCH TOOLS AS CAPS LOCK PUNCTUATIONS SYMBOLS AND PARAGRAPH BREAKS HOW IN THE WORLD DID YOU EVER MANAGE TO SATISFY THE WORD VERIFICATION I'M JUST SAYING MAN EVEN IF YOU HAVE A DECENT MESSAGE IT IS DIFFICULT TO PARSE OUT WHEN YOU PRESENT IT IN SUCH A MANNER
In all seriousness, though, although Dimitria's performance was over-the-top hokey, very poorly acted, and difficult to watch, I think she telegraphed her message loud and clear: she is desperate and on her last legs. It was very welcome news!
The problem is that Pope has no dignity and respect. Yet, she still believes that she is a stabilizing figure in TYC. How sick can you be?
ReplyDeleteEveryone hates her and she wasted millions of dollars and we have nothing to show for it. She is nothing more than an embarrasment. So lets not expect dignified acts from her. She described herself, when she called us "snakes." We all know that she is a liar and has no class.

ReplyDeleteI am a social worker who has spent my whole adult life working for children and families, trying to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. I was married to Richard Nedelkoff for 16 years specifically because I saw in him the passion to help people all his life. He didn't take the easy way out and become an attorney when he could have. He has dedicated his life to helping youth and families and has made a huge impact in many different states. I have two wonderful children who have had to move all over the country, give up friends, deal with new schools, and start over because of their father's commitment to helping youth. We are not rich and have struggled our whole lives but we both feel we have made a difference. Though we are no longer married I still have great respect for Richard and know him to be a honest and forthright leader who cares about his staff and the kids. Please don't get caught up in the political circus and ruin a good man's reputation. Please remember his 16 year old daughter who still feels she can make a difference in the world and his 12 year old son are reading the newspaper. Please don't get sucked in to the politicians web of destruction Change is difficult, but if you ask the staff of TYC they all believe that change needs to happen at the dysfunctional agency. Please be careful in biting off your nose to spite your face. Richard is already making important changes at TYC. Please do not ruin a good man's reputation and destroy two children just for the sake of a story. Please make sure you have ALL your facts straight.
sincerely,
Kristen Nedelkoff

Ms. Nedelkoff I agree with you 100%.I have been with this agency for 18 years and this past year has been very difficult for many of us but Richard has been a breath of fresh air. Those of us like myself who have been around awhile will and have supported him and will continue. This is based upon his apparent sincerty, honesty, and willingnes to communicate to all of the folks in the field. Rest assured he has our backing and support and thanks for contributing to this post.

ReplyDeleteShe posted it on this Grit blog:
Appropriations Hearing Reviews TYC Spending
I figured all of these war mongers needed to read it....
Ms. Nedlekoff -
ReplyDeleteThere is no doubt that Richard Nedlekoff is our man, and we support him 100%. He's made a commitment to us when he didn't have to, and for that reason, we're 100% in his corner. I know he's been criticized in the press, but in the TYC family he is our leader and we could care less what ole' Elmer Fudd (Houston Democrat John Whitmire) has to say about him. It's been a hell'uva year for those of us who remain, but rest assured we will prevail with Richard Nedlekoff as our leader. Take care and God bless you and the children.
Good Job, anon @ 11:01am.
ReplyDeleteAll of us need to jump on this, apparently the push to dislodge Mr. N has not stopped and he needs all of our support.

Ms. Nedelkoff
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for contributing your thoughts to the discussion. I was fully in support of Mr. Nedelkoff and this information only further convinces me.
I would recommend you contact Senator Whitmire's office and provide them with this information. They are driving this negativity. I do not recommend you contact Pope. She is dangerous.
Staff at all levels support Nedelkoff. So do TYC volunteers and outside advocacy groups--including parents. Righteousness shall prevail.
Ms. Nedelkoff,
ReplyDeleteThank you for having the courage to speak out in support of Richard.
I would like to urge TYC employees and volunteers to do the same. If we all put aside our fears and arrived at the next hearing to speak out in support our numbers would be impressive. The legislatures need to See and Hear how we feel about both Dimitria and Richard.
I would even dare to say that when the room and hallway is packed with Richard's supporters, which range from staff, epiphany volunteers, volunteers across the board and parents, our presence stands a strong chance of silencing Richard's even toughest critics. Let's also keep in mind that these same people wanting desperately to speak out on Richard's behalf have also been praying for the opportunity to speak out about their feelings on Dimitria's contributions and I don't think that they have nearly the helpful and angelic image that she holds of herself.
I would say that both Kristen Nedelkoff and Richard Nedelkoff are class acts.
ReplyDeleteBe at the public hearing of the joint committee at 10:00 a.m. on 2-22-08 and voice your support of Richard Nedelkoff.
Who called this hearing? Elmer Fudd? Or was it Madden the Beaver?
ReplyDeleteTYC employees support Nedelkoff 100% is true. The lege needs to quit the dirty politics and leave him alone. In the short time he's been on board, employees respect and admire him. He was honest about his plans for TYC and most of all has he's shown respect for staff at all levels of the agency, field inclusive.
ReplyDeleteWhitmire admit Ms. Pope was unqualified and let TYC move on with the job of rehabilitating youth.
People who live in glass houses should not cast stones!!
aside from the everyday TYC worker and Nedlekoff no one, Whitmire, Pope or any other elected senator or rep gives a damn about tthe kids or the system. They are "throw away kids". If they thought any thing different some one maybe even a governor would step in and say enough is enough!
ReplyDeleteIts a little downright frustrating to see that our governor does not have the interest in TYC that he should. But history books will tell it all. I'm afraid it won't be kind the to the guv. I don't know of a throw way kid that is not worth the attempt to rehabilitate.
ReplyDeleteWonder if our state government will now step in and correct the injustice done at the Coke County Juvenile Justice Center last year. I am talking about righting the reputations of the employees who lost their jobs after Demitira filed the false (read 'LIES') report that resulted in the closing of the facility. For one, I'd be surprised if our state government has that kind of courage. Maybe the guv should have talked to some of the employees at CCJJC...might have saved him some embarrassment. They knew all along of her lack of integrity. I would imagine that these 120 or so employees are celebrating this week!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhatever a man [or woman] shall sow, that shall they also reap. As I sat across from the Chief of Staff as she informed me that I had been terminated, I thought to myself, "Obviously, these people don't have a clue as to what has really been going on down here. It was me that called Austin and said you need to get someone down here now, before someone gets hurt." So surely I thought, they made a terrible mistake. They have never talked to me. I was the "member of management" that was excluded from the table (the weekly Management Meetings). Well I was partly right, in about 2 months I met with the lady that fired me only for her to rescend the termination but not admit that she was wrong. I think that the best thing that could happen to the agency at this point, would be to clean house. All of those people that sat where they sit and watch as innocent people lost the source of income to provide for their families should be pushed out of the door for lacking integrity. Those should have been easy decisions for them to make, how can they be trusted with the hard decisions? ... The Care and Rehabilitation of the Youth!!!!!!
ReplyDelete
