The Dallas News nominated Kelly Siegler, former Harris County DA candidate and the prosecutor who dismissed charges against Anthony Graves, as a
finalist for its Texan of the Year honor. The recognition is well deserved - and may even revive her political prospects, broadening her image from that of simply disgraced DA Chuck Rosenthal's heir apparent - but among the News' Texan of the Year nominees so far, I think I might vote for
these folks.
Texan of the year? Hands down, Governor Rick Perry and the Texas Republican Party.
ReplyDeleteDude deserves all the kudos he gets.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, put his statue in front of the court house, just above the monument of the 10 Commandments. That way people will know WTF it means.
Misplaced priorities if you ask me. Considering, why isn't Anthony Graves, himself, a finalist for Texan of the Year?
ReplyDeleteI think Texan of the year needs to be every one that has ever had to deal with the legal side of Texas and even after they completed their sentences must continue to be under the thumb of laws that get passed to thwart their rights that were supposed to be restored.

ARE YOU JOKING, OR ARE YOU INSANE? Rick Perry is a putz and his cabinet right along with him! They are making me into a Democrat (God forbid!) lol

ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful question.
There was no evidence in the case. A dismissal was a no-brainer. Someone should be recognized for that? Seriously?
