Burnt Orange politico makes good

Byron of Burnt Orange Report fame has taken a job at the Fort-Worth-based Tyson Organization, a Democratic phone bank firm. Congrats, Byron! You'll get to work on some big league stuff toiling away in their shop. I've used Tyson's services for years on various campaigns and on behalf of ACLU of Texas. Here's the announcement of Byron's hiring that just came over my email:

The Tyson Organization is proud to welcome Byron LaMasters to the team.

Byron graduated from the University of Texas in May of 2005 with a BA in Government and History. At UT, he served as the President of the University Democrats during the 2002 election cycle; under his leadership, the UDs were awarded the “Swing Out” award for best campus political organization. In the summer of 2002, Byron also volunteered for the Texas Coordinated Campaign’s field operation in Austin.

Byron founded the web log BurntOrangeReport.com , and in 2004, he was credentialed by the DNC to cover the Democratic National Convention. Byron currently serves as the Vice President of Finance for the Texas Young Democrats.
