The Tyler Paper actually had a brief article about this but no mention of the misconduct. They always cover for Skeen and company.

This sums it up perfectly!!! I have seen this happen to a loved one and it's shameful!!!!!

"In many ways, unfairness seems to be the nature of the beast in small-town trials. Investigators and DA’s invest so much time and energy trying to win a conviction, they wrap their egos and emotions around it and won’t let go no matter what the evidence shows. When crimes occur in counties like Panola and Smith, it’s almost impossible to establish a courtroom setting where the judges, prosecutors, jurors, defense attorneys and witnesses don’t already know each other. Often, they’re close relatives."

Judge C. Kennedy has recused herself...there should have been no question of it. Is this, at long last, the light at the end of the tunnel and the start of total closure for Kerry and his family? It should be - I sincerely hope that this is the final chapter of a very long book. May Justice (finally) prevail.

Justice for Kerry Max Cook would be sweet. But justice for Linda Jo Edwards would be even sweeter. How is it that after all this evidence shook out James Mayfield wasn't charged with a crime?

Two reasons: First, that would require Skeen, Dobbs, and the police officers involved to admit that they were wrong. Second, Mayfield was represented by Buckyboy Files who supports the Smith County political machine and helps keep it in power.

Then District Atty. Jack Skeen Jr. (now a district judge) knew damn well at Cook's final trial that he had no DNA evidence that would show Cook was involved in the murder. But he chose to suppress that evidence. Now all of Skeen's homeys are going to perpetuate Skeen's crime by fighting Cook's exoneration. There has got to be a special place in hell for these people!

Please do the right and just thing and clear your conscience and exonerate Kerry Max Cook from this crime he did not commit.
