Get Grits for Breakfast by Email or RSS

I'm taking a blogging day off, but wanted to once again remind readers of Grits' new email subscription service. Dozens have already signed up and you can too. Receive Grits posts from the previous day each morning in your email.

Why not try it out? You can unsubscribe at anytime. A Grits site survey earlier this year found 30% of respondents would like to receive posts via email if the service were available.

As always, you can still use Grits' RSS feed to track new posts - for example, on a personalized Google or Yahoo home page or other RSS reader. (That's my own preference. If you're an information junkie, I highly recommend using RSS feeds to personalize your Google Home and News pages.)

More Grits mas tarde.

Within the last month or two you seem to have changed the format of the RSS feed. Instead of just loading the text of each entry, RSS now loads the actual web page, which is much slower (and I'm stuck with a dialup connection).

Please consider going back to the old format (or at least showing us how to defeat/work around this change, if there is any way to do it).

Sorry, JDG, the RSS feed is just the atom feed blogger provides, and I've done nothing to alter it to my knowledge. Also, the RSS feed still just comes up text on my Bloglines account. What RSS reader are you using?

If you "personalize" your Google home page, just the recent headlines from your favorite blogs will come up - that's another good solution. Thanks for reading!
