Thornton can play good guys or bad guys, and well. But can he play a scumbag weasel? I guess we'll see.
Scumbag weasels are easy to play - adequately. The nuances that show how decent people evolve into scumbag weasels is the trick. Will he be a cartoonish scumbag weasel or will he become a decorated and widely acclaimed scumbag weasel. We have way too many of the former in movies around the drug war.
