I find it utterly mind boggling that Democrats apparently see not voting for Jim Pitts (!) as being a Judas. Every bad recent budget cut you can name, he's responsible for.
I would understand that sentiment if Senfronia Thompson had been the alternative, but in the present context this "Iscariot Caucus" stuff seems pretty silly to me.
It is the support for Craddick which is troubling.
If you see no betrayal in supporting Craddick, your views are perfectly in line with the majority view among Republicans and perfectly out of line with the majority view among most Democrats; there is no disgrace in that, is there?
If you see no difference between Pitts and Craddick, perhaps you have inside knowledge about how Pitts participated in the worst violation of the Voting Rights Act in over a decade. I, on the other hand, can only go by what the Supreme Court defined as a violation and the legislative record of who perpetrated that violation.
It's going to be a long session, Iscariot Caucus. Why don't you put away the long knives until it's over, THEN decide who deserves friendly fire and who's a Judas?
