Site Update: Grits reaches one million page views

According to Sitemeter, overnight this blog had it's one millionth page view since Grits began publishing in October 2004, representing more than 600,000 visitors. I'd expected this milestone to come this weekend, but a link yesterday from Boing Boing put the numbers over the top.

Thanks for reading, folks!

Took nearly three years for the first million page views, so'd I'd guess a little longer! :)

You've been doing a good job, too, btw, and thanks for the linkage on the informant hearing in Congress - I don't know why that didn't get press! I listened to the whole hearing and the transcript Radley Balko quoted wasn't out of context, the FBI just refused to say, upon repeated questioning, "Yes sir, we report our informants who commit "serious violent felonies" to state or local authorities investigating the crimes." He left open a door you could drive a truck through - it left the impression the agents who supervised Whitey Bulger were following policy, not rogues.
