Bean to guest-blog informant roundtable in Atlanta
I just learned from Radley Balko that quite a list of notables, including Loyola law prof Alexandra Natapoff, several Texans including past Grits guest blogger Alan Bean, Ethan Nadelman of the Drug Policy Alliance, and Wire producer Ed Burns are meeting at a "roundtable" event to discuss the subject of snitching or informant abuses.
This is a project I helped originate when I worked at ACLU. One of these days I may have a story to tell about that - it would be entitled "How I became an unemployed blogger" - but prudence dictates leaving that for some future memoir.
Anyway, Alan has promised to update us with a guest post when he gets back to Tulia. Should be interesting.
