Blood sport politics behind the scenes in Texas House
I said it was already "on" at the Texas Legislature. They're two months from session and we've already come to blows!
The Stand Down blog has a great synopsis of what the 2006 elections mean for control of the Texas House of Representatives, including the tale of a physical altercation this week among Democrats, with punches thrown, between forces for and against current House Speaker Tom Craddick.
I swear, politics in this state is like a friggin' blood sport ... on some days literally. Read Stand Down for a good analysis of what's going on inside the Texas House.

That sounds like a good idea. Instead of debating, let them dress up like characters from the Jean Claude movie and let them go at it.
Ooooooh, Fight! Fight!
Two in a week, after Patrick Rose and Rick Green.
With luck the Legislature on public access tV next year will look like the Ultimate Fighting Championships.
Let's see some girl on girl fight action next - I wonder if we could get Bev Woolley and Jessica Farrar to agree to a cage match?
